DIB Eyes Talented Emirati Applicants At The "Careers UAE 2016"

Dubai Islamic Bank, the largest Islamic Bank in the UAE, reiterates its support for Emiratisation through its participation at the 16th edition of “Careers UAE”, the leading national platform for both job seekers as well as employers looking for skilled and promising Emirati talent.


Hosted under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, with conjunction with TANMIA, Higher Colleges of Technology, and UAE University, “Careers UAE 2016” is being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 16th to 18th May 2016. Being a prominent recruitment platform, it attracts a pool of talented participants looking to meet a number of leading UAE-based organisations and identify interesting career paths across different sectors.


The Bank has a long track record in terms of effective participation in renowned career exhibitions as it endeavors to support the government’s efforts driving Nationalisation initiatives and increasing the number of Emiratis employed by the private sector tenfold by 2021. [1] As such, DIB will be screening candidates to fill its positions currently on offer across various departments.


Commenting on the event, Obaid Al Shamsi, Chief of Human Resources and Admin, Dubai Islamic Bank, said: “Forty years since DIB’s inception, we still champion the development of the local community and continue to invest in nurturing national talent until today. Emiratisation is a key component of the Bank’s philosophy and as such, we strongly believe that we have a responsibility to build a sustainable pipeline of Emirati leaders who will be able to promote the economic and social development of the UAE.”
