The four acts will perform at the new Autism Rocks Arena, located near Dubai Outlet Mall (Dubai-Al Ain Road), organisers announced on Sunday.
Electronic music band Major Lazer, founded by Diplo and best known for their hit Lean On ft. DJ Snake and MO, and ’90s girl group All Saints will perform at Fiesta De Los Muertos (Party of the Dead) on October 28. They will be joined by homegrown electronic duo Hollaphonic and UK band The Mariachis, who are known to add a Mexican twist to English pop songs.
Gomez will bring her Revival tour to the city on November 18.
Sir Elton John will perform with his live band on December 15, as part of his Wonderful Crazy Night tour.
A frequent visitor to the UAE John last played here in 2012, at Abu Dhabi’s du Arena. In 2010, he played a double bill with Carlos Santana at the Dubai World Cup.
“We cannot wait to put these now announced shows on sale and to share even more exciting events with the Middle East music and entertainment fans over the coming months,” said Thomas Ovesen, CEO of 117Live.
117Live, who previously announced that Zayn would perform at the 20,000 capacity arena on October 7, advised fans to save two mystery dates for next year: March 3 and March 31. Their website also lists October 27-29 of 2016 as dates to watch out for.
Tickets have not gone on sale for the newly announced gigs, but fans can register on 117live.com for updates.
