A private yatch passing through Dubai Canal, the newest attraction which opened on Wednesday night.
Since its grand opening on Wednesday night, the Dubai Water Canal’s dazzling arches, waterfall and six-kilometre walkway has left UAE residents in awe.
And Dubai’s crown prince is no exception.
In his latest Instagram post, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, shared footage of the city’s newest attraction.
The Dh2.7 billion project has certainly changed the face of Dubai – with the creek ultimately achieving celebrity status.
The online video has gathered over 190,000 views and 2,000 comments from the public in its first 12 hours of going live.
The development project offers 80,000 square metres of public facilities, including six kilometres of walkway, a three-kilometre-long jogging track and 12 kilometres of cycling tracks.
The project is also expected to host a number of other leisure amenities and shopping destinations, as well as a variety of hotels and restaurants.
The canal has undoubtedly changed the way residents can travel around the city as ferries and water taxis, in addition to luxury yachts, are now able to cruise from Deira and Bur Dubai towards Jumeirah and Business Bay.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has so far opened up nine out of 42 marine stations, four at Business Bay and five along the Dubai Canal.
Residents can choose to travel in the Dubai Ferry starting at a cost of Dh15 for silver class and Dh25 for gold.
The fare for the water taxi ranges from Dh55 to Dh205, while hiring a water taxi for an hour will cost you Dh400.
