Rains lashed Sharjah, Fujairah and neighbouring parts of Al Ain on Tuesday afternoon, which continued till the evening in certain parts.
Moderate to heavy rains hit Al Qudra, Al Maliha, Al Dhaid, Al Madam, Khatam Al Shaqlah to the east of Al Ain, and Masafi in Fujairah at around 5pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Moderate rain was also recorded in Al Hibab, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).
Chances of rain still persists in the eastern and northern parts of the country due to a low pressure, said weathermen.
On Monday, the maximum recorded rainfall was in Al Shuaib with 30mm, Al Dhaid with 16.6mm, followed by Al Maliha with 11.4mm.
NCMS has issued a warning to residents to be on the lookout whenever going outdoors — especially to avoid wadis or low-lying areas that are prone to flooding.
The rest of the country will have cloudy skies with plenty of sunshine on Wednesday. Relative humidity will increase at night.
The Arabian Gulf will be moderate to rough on Wednesday while the Oman Sea will be moderate.
